Jeanne Lowe, 90, of 1635 Dugan Road, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Pines Health & Rehab, after a long illness. Born January 13, 1927 in Olean she was the daughter of Leo and Gladys Regis Belleisle. On July 11, 1953 in Olean, she married her husband of 49 years, Robert A. Lowe, who passed away on October 19, 2002. Mrs. Lowe was a graduate of Olean High School and attended the Westbrook Academy Night School. She worked for the New York Telephone company for 32 years. Mrs. Lowe was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church. She belonged to the White Shrine, the Telephone Pioneers and the Hi Flyers Camping group. Mrs. Lowe and her husband loved to travel in their motor home with their grandchildren. She also loved to do ceramics and flower arrangements. Mrs. Lowe is survived by a daughter, Roberta (Dan) Savoy of Olean; three sons, Daniel Lowe of Portville, Roger (Jennifer) Lowe of Little Genesee and Todd (Sue) Lowe of Olean; several grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Gibbons of Olean and Emily (Bob) Jordan of Seattle, WA; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her loving husband, Mrs. Lowe was predeceased by her parents; and three brothers, William, Douglas, and Lowell Belleisle. There will be no public visitation. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Portville. The Rev. Suzanne Block, Pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, #633 Linwood Avenue, Olean, New York 14760. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State Street, Olean. Online condolences may be made by clicking the button above.
