Maryjo A. Gesse-Lesinski

MaryJo A. Gesse-Lesinski, of 1129 Abbotts Road, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Olean General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. MaryJo was born on Nov. 15, 1958 in Buffalo and was a daughter of George and Julia Gesse. On Oct. 26, 1999, in Machias, she married her loving husband Rick F. Lesinski, who survives. MaryJo graduated from St. Mary High School in Lancaster, and after graduation she worked for Fisher-Price in Buffalo. MaryJo was a member of the AmVets and the American Legion in Cuba. She enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, motorcycles, her dogs and family gatherings. But most of all she loved her Grandchildren and spending time with them. Along with her loving husband, MaryJo is survived by two daughters, Amy (Darin) Thuman of Lancaster and Cassandra (Joseph) Lesinski of Allenhurst, Ga.; two stepchildren, Matthew (Robin) Schmidt of Portville and Tammy (Scott) Schultz of Lockport; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Zachary, Emily, Isaac, Lucas, Matty, and Oliver; her father-in-law Richard Lesinski Sr. of Cuba; best friend, Yvonne Vanschaick of Cuba; two sisters, Sheila (Daniel) Murphy of West Seneca and Michele Gesse of Lancaster; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. MaryJo was predeceased by an infant son, Richard George; her parents, George and Julia Gesse; a sister, Sharon Gesse; an infant brother, Michael Gesse; mother-in-law, Dorothy Lesinski; and brother-in-law, Mark Lesinski. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 24 Genesee Pkwy.,Cuba, N. Y., on Tuesday (March 21, 2017) from 2 to 4 pm, at which time memorial services will be held. The Reverend Dennis J. J. Mancuso Pastor of "Our Lady Of Angels" will officiate. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, New York. Online condolences may be made by clicking the button above.
