Sally A. Weinman, formerly of Knapp Creek, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Pines of Olean, following a lengthy illness.
Sally was born on December 14, 1941 in Salamanca and was a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Stevens Pepperdine. She married Vincent F. Weinman, Jr. who predeceased her on September 7, 1970.
Sally was a 1959 graduate of Allegany High School. She was employed at Time Warner Cable in Jamestown, AM&A's and Bon Ton of Olean and also for many years at the former L'Alcove and HoStaGeh Restaurants. Sally enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Sally dedicated her life to raising her four children, Terrance Weinman of Olean, NY, David Weinman of Pompano Beach, FL, Cynthia (Brian) Marvin of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and Douglas (Jessica) Weinman of Allegany, NY. She was a loving grandmother to Sean, Jenna, Jonathon, Christina, Michelle, Brooke, Seth, and Lillian and enjoyed several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Sally is survived by a sister, Carole (Don) Partridge of Charleston, SC, and a brother, Thomas (Linda) Pepperdine of Allegany.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Sally was predeceased by her brother, Robert Pepperdine and her sister Gail Sweitzer.
Family and friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh Spink Funeral Home Inc. at 646 East State Street in Olean, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 10 am. The Rev. Al Batt, Pastor of the Southside Union Chapel will officiate. Burial will be at the Allegany Cemetery.
