Robert D. Morgan of 17 E. Union St., passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, FL.

Robert was born April 19, 1939 in Olean and was a son of Ernest N. and Julia M. Smith Morgan. He was formerly married to Annetta Russell.

Robert worked for the town of Allegany in 1965 before going to work for Richard Peck Construction in Allegany. He was a member of the Five Mile Baptist Church when it was on Church Road. Robert was a life member of the North American Hunting Club and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Robert is survived by loving companion, Marcein Steele of Leesburg, FL; five children, Jeffrey (Phyllis) Morgan of Kannapolis, NC, Susan (Alan) Wallace of Ashville, Kevin (Belinda) Morgan of Eustis, FL, Elaine (Kevin) Bailey of San Antonio, TX, and Anita (Jim) Derx of Olean; three step children, Kristin (Dennis) Young of Belmont, Fred (Alice) Perkins of Salamanca, and Rick (Patti) Perkins of Franklinville; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 18 step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; a sister, Anne Evens of Olean; three brothers, Dennis (Eileen) Morgan of Allegany, Charles (Georgia) Morgan of Allegany, and Daniel Morgan of Lexington, KY.

Robert was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Dave Morgan; and a sister, Marilyn Sebring.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State Street, Olean on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. (Clergy) will officiate. Burial will be in the Five Mile Cemetery in Allegany.
