Clarice G. Timme, formerly of #532 3rd Ave. for 72 years, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 in the Pines Health & Rehab in Olean, surrounded by her loving family.

Clarice was born on July 8, 1923 in Aleppo Township, PA and was a daughter of John Thomas and Winifred Turner Polen. On Feb. 23, 1945 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, she married her husband of 67 years, Carl M. Timme, who predeceased her on Sept. 1, 2012.

Clarice was a 1943 graduate of Bolivar High School. She worked for Park and Shop until 1972, while attending the Continental School of Beauty. Clarice owned and operated her own hair salon from 1972 to 2002. She was a member of the St. John's Roman Catholic Church. Clarice enjoyed cooking, quilting, and spending time at the Jersey Shore.

Clarice is survived by; 2 daughters, Mary L. (Rodrick) McConnell of Bath and Linda A. (Lawrence) Harmon of Portville; 6 Grandchildren, Jeffrey R. (Lisa) Crowder of Clark's, TN, James M. (Nichole) Crowder of TN, Robert W. (Theresa) McConnell of Fulton, Jill E. McConnell of Corning, Erin M. McConnell of Corning, and Andrew J. Harmon of Portville; several great grandchildren; 3 Siblings, Joline (Polen) Bentley of Westons Mills, Wanda (Polen) Mucke of NC and Turner Polen of Wellsville.

Along with her loving husband, Clarice was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen D. Farwell in 1999; 11 Siblings, Byron Polen, Marjorie Polen, John Polen, Thomas Polen, Max Polen, Carl Polen, Ensil Polen, Donald Polen, Edmund Polen, Louise (Polen) Rutter, and Bernice (Polen) Morris.

Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State Street, Olean on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 at which time Funeral Services will be held. The Rev. F. Patrick Melfi, Pastor of St. John's Roman Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be next to her loving husband in the Veteran's Field of Honor in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean.
